1. What SpeechMeet is

SpeechMeet is an online marketplace that connects families and adults ("Parents" / "Clients") with independent, licensed speech and occupational therapists ("Therapists"). SpeechMeet is not a healthcare provider. We do not employ therapists and we do not deliver therapy ourselves.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Parents booking on behalf of a minor confirm they are the parent or legal guardian.
  • Therapists must hold every license and authorization required in their jurisdiction.

3. Therapist responsibilities

Therapists are independent professionals. By listing on SpeechMeet, a Therapist represents and warrants that they are legally qualified to practice, carry any required insurance, and comply with all applicable laws, including confidentiality and record-keeping rules.

4. No medical advice from SpeechMeet

Content on SpeechMeet (including therapist profiles) is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Any clinical relationship is between the Client and the Therapist.

5. Payments and fees

  • Sessions are 45 minutes and priced by each Therapist.
  • SpeechMeet charges an 18% platform fee on completed sessions.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. SpeechMeet does not store card details.

6. Cancellation and rescheduling

  • Cancellations made more than 2 hours before a session may be rescheduled.
  • Cancellations made less than 2 hours before a session are forfeited.

7. Prohibited conduct

No harassment, fraud, misrepresentation of credentials, off-platform circumvention of fees, or unlawful use of the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SpeechMeet is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpeechMeet is not liable for the acts or omissions of Therapists or Clients, nor for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app and require re-acceptance where required by law.
