Who we are
SpeechMeet is a multilingual online speech and occupational therapy marketplace. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.
Information we collect
- Account: name, email, role (parent/therapist), password (hashed).
- Parents: child's first name, age, language preference, therapy goals.
- Therapists: credentials, license and ID documents, bio, availability, payout details.
- Sessions: booking history, session notes visible to you and your therapist.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We store transaction metadata, not card numbers.
- Technical: device, IP address, and cookies strictly necessary to run the service.
Children's data
Children do not create accounts on SpeechMeet. A parent or legal guardian holds the account and provides only the minimum information the therapist needs to deliver care. Parents can review, update, or delete their child's profile at any time.
How we use information
- Match families with suitable therapists (language, age, goals).
- Operate bookings, video sessions, payments, and support.
- Verify therapist credentials and comply with legal obligations.
- Improve the service and prevent abuse.
Sharing
We share information only with the therapist you book, with service providers (hosting, email, Stripe, video), and when required by law. We do not sell personal data.
Storage and security
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted and logged. Therapist license and ID uploads are private and visible only to the therapist and SpeechMeet's verification staff.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including GDPR in the EU), you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your data. Email privacy@speechmeet.com to make a request.
Cookies
We use only cookies strictly necessary for authentication and security. We do not use tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies without your consent.
